What should I wear?
Wear your normal running gear. Try to avoid cotton clothing as this cold and heavy when wet. Quick drying fabrics are a better option such as synthetic tech t shirts. Don’t wear too many layers as you will quickly warm up and remember that you will be getting wet! Bring some warm clothes/change of clothes for before & after the event as well as a towel. Make sure your footwear fastens well. Spiked/studded shoes are not permitted on the course.
Do I need to be able to swim?
No, but you will get wet though!
Are there showers at the finish?
There are no showers at the finish, but Waves Swimming Pool, which is located very close to the event, are making their showers available at £1.45 per person.
Is there a place I can store my bag?
There will be a bag storage facility next to registration were you can leave a small bag. This will be staffed throughout the event, but please note that you leave your bag at your own risk, so keep valuables and cash to a minimum. Bags should be tagged with your run number and you can retrieve your bag after you have finished by showing your run number. If you do not have a bag but wish to deposit valuables such as car keys or a mobile phone, then please use the envelope provided.
Will there be food & drinks available?
We’re sure you’ll have burnt several calories over the 10km obstacle course, so we’ve lined up a great selection of grub that will be available at the finish.
Spectators
This is a great event for spectating! All obstacles can be viewed up close and the Promenade provides for great viewing onto the beach and beyond.

Monkseaton and Whitley Bay Metro Stations are both 0.5mile from the venue.
